Our co-founder, Mathilde Pavis, wins highly prestigious ATRIP essay competition
I am glad to announce that Mathilde Pavis, the co-founder of our network, has just received notification that she has won the highly prestigious ATRIP essay competition with her essay called 'Is there any-body on stage? A legal (mis)understanding of performances'. It is a paper that considers embodiment, intellectual property and performance. An artier version of this essay has also been published in Platform, a journal of theatre and performing Arts.
ATRIP is the Association of Teachers and Researchers in Intellectual Property. It is a worldwide organisation with many hundreds of members who meet annually for a conference. The essay competition is a highly competitive annual event.
Mathilde's essay developed out of work that she had been doing for the InVisible Difference project. It started as a blog posting on the SCuLE blog and developed into a prize winning paper.
Mathilde has been invited to the next ATRIP conference in South Africa in September to present her paper.
Congratulations Mathilde!
